Day 4, Decin to Litomerice

It was a workmanlike cycle today, through an industrial region, some showers, unattractive roads and some head wind. But it wasn't all bad - towards the end we experienced some very nice countryside.

Today's stage: 56 km
Running total: 318 km

We left our Decin hotel in good spirits and were ready for a nice short little run.

Whenever there were a few showers, Tina always knew the perfect tree to hide beneath.

The stretch between Decin and Usti is not special, but then we arrived in the Porta Bohemica which was very pretty and surrounded by some interesting hills that looked like very old volcanoes, but I've no idea if they really are.

Litomerice is a very pretty town. When we went here with Margie, Rami and Nicole a year and a half ago on our way to some x/country skiing, we never got to see the old historic centre. The only problem was the national holidays, which meant nice quiet riding with no traffic, but also no life anywhere and no shops open...

Lesson of the day: Don't walk too far away for a pee in the woods:
